About Our Farm
Nestled in the peaceful, quiet, rolling hills of southeast Nebraska, Majestic Acres sits on 5 spacious acres. John and Penny purchased the acreage in 1999 and totally rennovated and restored there 103 year old home. Penny had always showed Pinto and Paint horses and gazed her eyes on her first miniature "Mucho Macho", in their Pinto magazine when she was a junior in high school. Wanting one in the worst way her father said, "If I can't ride it I ain't goin' to feed it. Wait until you are married." After attending Harold Lowery's last retirement sale and visiting several miniature farms they ran across Don Maas at the Nebraska State Fair in 2000. He had Crystal with him and it was love at first sight! The next weekend John and Penny attended his sale and purchased their little bundle of joy.Two years later after showing Crystal, John caught the bug as well and purchased Bunny from Don plus Velvet who was bred.Upon signing up for their first out of state show the show clerk inquired as to how many minis we had. I replied we started out with one and now have 4. Laughing she said you will have more. She was right. Currently we are lovingeveryone one of our precious miniatures and shetlands. This has become a family affair with the girls helping out with chores, exercising, grooming and showing. In 2008 we started another dream of Penny's, raising Shelties. Our farm is easy to get to and we love to have visitors. So stop by sometime and soak up the "good life" that Nebraska has to offer. |
